Domain Transfer Details

Transfer Procedure

  • The transfer is submitted to the registry, and the losing registrar is automatically notified.
  • The losing registrar sends an email to the owner about the transfer, which may include options to approve/deny it. If no action is taken, the transfer completes in 5 days.

Transfer Notes

  • A domain transfer must be initiated with an authorisation code, which can be obtained from the current registrar.
  • Ensure that your domain does not have a lock-status. This can be checked in WHOIS.
