Transfer Procedure
- The transfer of a .technology domain to a new registrar starts by the registry notifying the losing registrar. An email is sent to the domain owner (and optionally admin), which may include options to approve/deny the transfer. Without explicit approval or denial, the transfer completes automatically after 5 days.
Transfer Notes
- A .technology domain transfer must be initiated with an authorization code (auth-code), which can be obtained from the current registrar through the owner/admin contact of the domain. Ensure that the domain does not have a lock-status such as clientTransferProhibited or serverTransferProhibited visible in WHOIS. The owner can request the current registrar to remove the client-side transfer lock if present. The domain transfer between registrars is notified by the registry, and losing registrar has options to approve or deny the transfer. If not explicitly approved or denied, the transfer is finalized after 5 days.
