Transfer Notes

  • The registration of 3rd level .mc is not possible anymore. Already registered domains can be managed as usual. If existing 3rd level domains are deleted, they cannot be re-registered.
  • List of unavailable TLDs: .asso.mc, .tm.mc, .avocat.mc, .architectes.mc, .comptables-agrees.mc, .expert-accountants.mc, .notaire.mc, .dentiste.mc
  • Any legal person having an extract from the Monaco Trade and Industry Directory can request the registration of its company name (or brand) in .MC.
  • An association declared in Monaco can register the name of its association.
  • If you are the holder of a trademark registered in Monaco or covering Monegasque territory, you can obtain the domain name corresponding to the brand in .mc (subject to validation by the Monaco NIC).
  • Domain name must match company/trade/brand name.
  • 5 domain registrations per Domain holder.
  • Registry can freeze individual domains and the domain name holder’s portfolio for a maximum of thirty (30) days if domains do not meet the eligibility criteria/rules of the registry.
  • Registrations can be rejected if the domain name has already been requested for registration or already exists; the domain name does not comply with the entries on the supporting documents; or is likely to infringe public order, good morals, constitutional or legal rights, the image or values of the Principality of Monaco, or the rights of a legal or natural person, intellectual property, or personality.
  • NIC Monaco reserves the right to request any documents it deems necessary.
  • Registry can force transfer domains under specific circumstances.

  • The auth-code is required for transfers and may consist of 6 to 16 characters.
