Transfer Procedure

  • The transfer must be initiated with an auth-code and approved either via email or automatically after the specified wait-time if no action is taken.

Transfer Notes

  • A .ink domain transfer must be initiated with an authorisation code, which can be obtained from the current registrar through the owner/admin contact of the domain.
  • Ensure that your respective domain does not have a clientTransferProhibited and/or serverTransferProhibited status. This can be checked through a WHOIS search.
  • If the domain has a client-side transfer lock, the owner can request the current registrar to remove the lock.
  • The transfer is submitted to the registry, and the losing registrar is automatically notified. The transfer will auto-complete after 5 days unless explicitly approved or denied by the losing registrar.
