Transfer Procedure

  • The transfer is initiated with the registry and the losing registrar is notified automatically. The losing registrar sends an email to inform the owner and admin contacts about the transfer with options to approve or deny the transfer. Approval or denial is not adhered to, the transfer will be finalized after 5 days.

Transfer Notes

  • A .global domain transfer requires an authorization code (auth-code) obtained from the current registrar via the owner or admin contact. Ensure the domain does not have a lock-status (clientTransferProhibited and/or serverTransferProhibited) visible in WHOIS. If there’s a client-side transfer lock, the current registrar can remove it. This applies to domain transfers between registrars; refer to internal transfer procedures for transfers between resellers.
