Domain Transfer Details

Transfer Procedure

  • The transfer is submitted to the registry, and the losing registrar is notified automatically.
  • The losing registrar sends an email to the owner or admin contact with options to approve or deny the transfer, which will be automatically finalized after 5 days if not acted upon.

Transfer Notes

  • A .fun domain transfer must be initiated with an authorisation code (auth-code) which can be obtained from the current registrar through the domain’s owner or admin contact.
  • Ensure that the domain does not have a lock status (clientTransferProhibited and/or serverTransferProhibited) visible in WHOIS.
  • If the domain is client-side locked, the owner can request the current registrar to remove the lock.
