Domain Transfer Details
Transfer Procedure
- To initiate a .cc domain transfer, an authorization code from the current registrar is required. The losing registrar will send an email to the Owner/Admin-C, which allows them to deny the transfer. If there is no response, the transfer will process successfully after 5 days. The transfer cannot be processed if the WHOIS email address is invalid. In such a case, contact your current registrar to update the WHOIS information.
Transfer Notes
- A .cc domain transfer must be initiated with an authorisation code, which can be obtained from the current registrar through the owner or Admin-C of the domain. Ensure that your respective domain does not have a lock-status such as REGISTRAR-LOCK or HOLD. If the domain is locked, the owner can demand that the domain will be unlocked. Following the successful transfer, the domain will be transfer locked by the registry for a period of 60 days.
Authorization Codes
- The format for auth info requires a minimum length of 8 characters and a maximum length of 32 characters. Additionally, auth info must contain at least one of each of the following three character types: Alphabetic characters (a-z; A-Z), Numeric characters (0-9), and Special characters (!;<=$%?&@[()]*^+-,’-{.|/}:~).
