Domain Transfer Details
Transfer Procedure
- A .af domain transfer can be initiated with an authorization code (auth code), which can be obtained from the current registrar through the owner or Admin-C of the domain.
- A .af domain transfer can also be initiated without an auth code; the losing registrar has to confirm or reject the transfer of the domain within 7 days.
- A special transfer fee will be charged. A transfer does not include a renewal and will not extend the expiration date.
Transfer Notes
- Due to sanctions affecting Afghanistan, new registrations, transfers-in, explicit renewals, and restores of .af, .org.af, .com.af, and .net.af domains are currently not accepted.
- Existing domains under management will not expire automatically. If the expiration date is reached, they will remain active with the same expiration date, unless an explicit delete command is sent.
- To explicitly delete a domain, a delete command must be sent, or our support team must be contacted.

- Auth codes are required for all .af domain transfers and are obtained from the current registrar.
